A-Line, Whistler Mountain Bike Park
Join Whistler Mountain Bike Park trail staff on this one-time opportunity for a walk down the famous A-Line trail. The Whistler Mountain Bike Park being singled out as the "benchmark for lift-accessed mountain biking". A-Line is the most ridden trail in the world with over 1000 rider trips per day in the summer months. This tour will involve a walk down "A-Line," Whistler's premier bike trail, with Dave Kelly, Chief Park designer and builder for the last 10 years. On the trail discussions will include trail design, construction, and maintenance techniques for this downhill mountain bike trail.
River Runs Through It, Muncipality of Whistler
Join this walk through a River Runs Through it - a cross-country mountain bike trail defined by the number and variety of technical trail features. On the trail education will focus on the location, construction, and design behind the technical trail features, as well as talk about management strategies specific to this type of trail.
Probably the most widely used trail in the valley and offers some great riding with no significant climbs. Riders are treated to a great succession of obstacles, ramps and drops. This trail is a favourite with the freeride crowd and provides a great environment to improve technical skills.
Lost Lake Trails
Join WORCA and the Municipality of Whistler on a walk through of the Lost Lake Trails. On the trail discussions will focus on the whole trail system vision, the beginner surfaced singeltrack trails, signage, construction, and trail management strategies.
Lost Lake is the best place for visiting bikers to begin as there is something for everyone. The area includes a full dirt jumping area for the more adrenaline charged, and Shaler's Bike Land, a trials biking centre perfect for learning how to get the bike up, over and along logs and other obstacles. Lost Lake has an extensive network of well maintained trails used for biking and hiking during the summer with many single track diversions into the woods. The trails here are generally beginner to moderate difficulty.
